About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Senior HR Business Partner. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our retail operations business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR leadership, guidance, and support to our retail operations team.
  • Manage talent acquisition, sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention processes.
  • Ensure our people systems provide a positive employee experience.
  • Support business leaders in preventing and resolving industrial disputes and employee grievances.
  • Act as the point of contact for staff and managers for all HR matters.
  • Manage, communicate, and document changes in legislative requirements that affect our business areas.
  • Motivate and inspire team members by creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
  • Hold regular meetings with business leaders for planning and communications.
  • Be a visible leader through regular staff interactions, gathering feedback, site walks, and building both upward and downward relationships.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role, minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Human Resources Management.
  • Current knowledge of The Australian Fair Work Act and Regulations.
  • Strong industrial relations experience, including negotiating skills.
  • Previous high-level experience with multiple HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Confident time management and organizational skills of self and others.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to be a big-picture thinker.
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal, along with presentation skills.
  • Conflict resolution and performance management experience desirable.
  • Experience in a large, complex multi-site business with more than 200 staff.
  • Supportive, adaptable, and empathetic characteristics.
