Safety Business Partner

The Safety Business Partner is a critical role within InfraBuild, responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This position plays a key role in deploying initiatives to continually review and improve workplace safety, health, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and implement safety processes and practices across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand how safety and wellbeing can be improved, and develop strategies to address identified gaps.
- Identify and support the business with change management activities, ensuring a smooth transition to new safety protocols and procedures.
- Lead sites through their safety journey, promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing through strong engagement and communication.
- Provide coaching, technical safety training, and ongoing mentoring to leaders, site instructors, and contractor controllers.
- Review and appraise processes and controls on site to assess for adequacy, compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessments, and coach sites on learnings to prevent harm to individuals.
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, minimum undergraduate degree.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Effective at influencing and coaching a wide variety of stakeholders.
