About the Role:
Ventia is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to manage Defence Base Services in Katherine NT. The successful candidate will be based at RAAF Base Tindal and oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of facilities and equipment. Key responsibilities include customer service, stakeholder management, and supervision of building trades. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and control emerging outages impacting asset availability.
  • Supervise and oversee subcontractors as required.
  • Implement and issue the Ventia Permit to Work System.
  • Audit work activity safety documentation and conduct operational process confirmation.
  • Manage Ventia Field Leads to improve performance and provide coaching.
  • Participate in quality control activities, including validation of work scope completion and value for money assessments.
  • Coordinate site access, inductions, and escorts for subcontractors.
  • Maintain on-base liaison and relationships with key client and customer representatives.
  • Ensure timely entry of works information into relevant systems.

Requirements:

  • Building, trade, or tertiary qualifications desirable.
  • Experience within the building industry or commercial maintenance industry highly desirable.
  • Strong focus on safety principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing and leading trade teams, subcontractors, and estate upkeep services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project management and service delivery principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages and ability to learn computerised software.
  • Proficiency in the Permit to Work System and qualifications in at least one high-risk discipline highly desirable.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance (Neg Vet Level 1).
