About the Role:

Ventia is seeking a skilled Defence Site Sweeper to join their Defence Base Services contract at RAAF Tindal. As a key member of the Grounds Maintenance team, you will be responsible for sweeping the Defence site, including runways, on both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily road and site sweeping duties as scheduled;
  • Carry out general labouring duties as required;
  • Maintain high standards of road sweeping work in line with management expectations and customer requirements;
  • Complete site inductions and accreditation for customer sites when necessary;
  • Conduct start-up, wash-down, end-of-shift, and routine maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current MR licence or higher;
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience driving a truck;
  • Be proficient in operating a manual operated truck;
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude (an advantage);
  • Show ability to work independently while maintaining a company-driven focus;

Note: You must be an Australian citizen to work on a Defence site.
