About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team in East Maitland, supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their nutritional goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan nutritional outcomes for clients, ensuring their needs are met through a holistic approach.
  • Develop tailored solutions to enable clients to live their best lives, applying evidence-based practice and contributing to dietetic best practices.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Behaviour Support Specialists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and fellow Dietitians.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting people with developmental or complex physical disabilities with their nutritional needs.
  • Ability to respond to the needs of people of all abilities, from diverse communities and backgrounds.
  • Calm, patient nature and excellent communication skills, sensitive to the needs of the audience.
  • Use a person-centred approach and maintain a positive mindset in light of disability sector reform.
  • Apply evidence-based practice in innovative ways to enable clients to achieve their potential for other life activities of their choosing.
  • Ideally an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
