Value Engineer and Pricing Specialist

The role is an exciting opportunity to grow sales portfolio and contribute to significant wind farm projects across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Work with Sales Managers, Technical Sales, and Service Sales on sales opportunities to create competitive positioning and value propositions for customer's wind energy projects.

Develop commercial value engineering and price strategy for projects and markets. Analyze market competitiveness, customer business cases in wind, and Vestas' value proposition.

  • Explore and develop commercial optimization via technical, executional, operational, and financial levers provided by functional experts that affect the overall business case.

Communicate these levers internally and externally. Prepare commercial analyses and recommendations for Vestas management.

  • Present pricing recommendations and underlying assumptions at internal review meetings.

Establish and grow the VE and Pricing function in Australia, potentially expanding to cover the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in a technical or commercial position within the energy sector, preferably in Pricing, project optimization, or management consultancy.

Technical background in Wind energy. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering. Relevant experience in a similar strategic role involving value-based selling, cost/price estimation, analysis, financial valuation, or technical optimizations.

Desirable Competencies:
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and data presentation skills.

Advanced IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Package. Ability to work under time pressure and with a can-do attitude. Result-oriented and self-driven, able to progress independently towards set goals.
