About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to spearhead market entry and growth, defining and executing a localized strategy that aligns with Australia's energy transition goals.

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a strategy that positions the business for long-term success in the Australian market.
  • Market Development: Drive business expansion in offshore wind, including monopiles, foundations, and emerging technologies, to enhance competitiveness in Australia.
  • Government Relations: Build and maintain strong connections with state and federal governments, industry associations, and key stakeholders to support policy engagement and local content compliance.
  • Commercial Growth: Support HQ with research, reporting, and deal execution, while securing contracts and building a trusted customer base.
  • Operations & Partnerships: Develop local supply chain collaboration, from component manufacturing to logistics, to achieve commercial success.
  • Cross-Cultural Leadership: Lead a high-performing team in Australia, fostering alignment between local operations and international leadership.

What You'll Need

  • 15+ years of senior-level experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors, with a strong track record in offshore wind or large-scale energy projects.
  • Proven expertise in government relations, industry networking, and stakeholder management at both state and federal levels.
  • Deep understanding of Australia's energy transition policies, regulatory frameworks, and offshore wind market dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership and cross-cultural management skills, with the ability to balance HQ expectations and local execution.
  • Based in Australia, with flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
