Job Title: Food Safety Specialist

This is a highly rewarding role that involves leading and enhancing the organisation's quality assurance and food safety systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective quality control measures.
  • Maintain product integrity through rigorous testing and inspection processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold regulatory and operational standards.

You will play a pivotal role in optimising processes, managing audits, and engaging teams to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a quality assurance role within food, ingredients, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of SQF, FSANZ, HACCP, GMP, and internal audit frameworks.
  • Proven experience developing and executing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Hands-on experience with internal/external audits, including managing non-conformances.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
  • Key Competencies & Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Australian Food Safety Legislation.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of organisation, time management, and planning abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about food safety.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Capable of prioritising tasks and delivering solutions that meet customer and compliance needs.
