About the Role

The Quality Assurance Officer plays a vital part in maintaining and improving quality assurance and food safety programs on site. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, this role is responsible for ensuring all production lines meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate and engage production staff on GMP requirements and quality standards
  • Conduct daily checks and line-walks to ensure CCPs, QCPs, and X-ray checks are met
  • Perform GMP Audits and internal audits to verify quality and production processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Maintain site document control and procedures
  • Provide food safety and quality training to production staff
  • Investigate non-conformances and conduct root-cause analysis
  • Advise production and management on quality performance and systems

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrate initiative and energy to deliver results
  • Strong passion for quality and ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • High levels of attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
