We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Carroll Consulting Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the sales funnel, undertaking business development activities, and proactively engaging existing and new customers.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Operations:
- Manage the sales funnel to drive revenue growth
- Undertake business development activities to identify new opportunities
- Proactively engage existing and new customers to build strong relationships
- Liaise with workshop and depots to ensure optimal delivery
- Exceed customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service
- Mentor, coach, and provide day-to-day leadership to team members on all customer satisfaction and operational issues
- Scheduling:
- Schedule 'jobs' in conjunction with the operations team to ensure efficient logistics
- Manage changes or disruptions to planned logistics to minimize delays
- Ensure scheduling meets compliance and safety obligations
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain sales or account management and planning
- Understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including knowledge of regulations, compliance, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Leadership ability
- Proficiency in software systems relating to office communication, planning, and scheduling, CRM, and sales processing
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
