Health, Safety and Environment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team as a HSE Business Partner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and inclusive team, driving HSE leadership and best practice across our Australia and New Zealand operations.
Key Responsibilities- Drive HSE leadership and engagement across the business, ensuring a strong safety culture and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Develop and implement effective WHS and Environmental management systems, ensuring best practice and regulatory compliance.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters, including risk management, incident investigation, and rehabilitation and return to work programs.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners, to promote HSE awareness and engagement.
- Support the development of management capability and coach managers and supervisors on HSE best practices.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in OH&S or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in WHS and Environmental systems, with a strong background in risk management and compliance.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining best practice WHS and Environmental programs.
- Good knowledge and understanding of federal and state legislation related to WHS and Environment.
- Experience in rehabilitation and return to work programs, including Workers Compensation/ACC.
- Ability to train and coach managers and employees on Safety and Environment programs.
