About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Sydney Airport Workshop. The successful candidate will work on various unique and specialized equipment, including push-back tractors, loaders, belt loaders, catering trucks, ground power units, air starter units, tow bars, trailers-dollies, baggage carts, and more.

Salary Information

Our salary range for this position is approximately $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive offer that reflects the importance of the role in maintaining the high standards of our equipment.

Job Description

This is a permanent, full-time position with a rolling day shift (4 days on, 4 days off). You will be working under the management of the State Service Manager and report daily to the Shift Supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will involve following service guidelines and data as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Rlevant Trade Qualification in Welding/Fabrication/Boiler Maker/Vehicle Builder
  • Previous experience with aluminium welding to AS/NZS 1665
  • Previous experience with basic vehicle maintenance repair work (Re-packing bearings, trailer servicing)
  • Must hold a current Driver's License
  • Willingness to undertake ASIC background checks for security access
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical check
  • COVID-19 Vaccination completed
