Culinary Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced and skilled culinary professional to join our team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing diverse and appealing menus, estimating food and labor costs, and managing the procurement of necessary ingredients and supplies.

They will oversee the entire food preparation process, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation at every stage from initial preparation to final serving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Develop and implement innovative menu concepts that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain exceptional standards of quality and presentation in all food preparation processes.
  • Collaboration with Key Personnel: Engage in discussions with kitchen and waiting staff to address food preparation issues and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Skills Demonstration and Guidance: Provide demonstrations on cooking techniques and offer expert advice on cooking procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency in food preparation.
  • Hands-on Food Preparation: Participate in the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring dishes are cooked to perfection and meet quality expectations.
  • Hygiene and Safety Compliance: Communicate and enforce hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality food and service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
