We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Therapeutic Care Practitioner. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.
As a Therapeutic Care Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the emotional and psychological well-being of our clients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will also have a strong commitment to delivering trauma-informed care and promoting positive outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct care and support to children and young people with complex needs
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for our clients
- Providing crisis intervention and de-escalation training to staff members
Required qualifications include a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or other similar qualification. Additionally, you must have completed units of competency in trauma-informed care, primary residential care, facilitating responsible behavior, and working with children and young people with complex trauma and attachment issues.
