Clearance Broker Job Description

We are seeking a Clearance Broker to ensure the smooth and compliant movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.

  • This role involves collaborating closely with customers, government agencies, and internal teams to facilitate efficient customs clearance operations and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Review customs documentation, classify goods according to customs regulations, and determine duty rates and tax liabilities.
  • Resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and proactively resolving any clearance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal teams for efficient and timely clearance.

Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of work experience in Customs is required.
  • A secondary education or equivalent is also necessary.
  • A strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance is essential.
  • The candidate must be proficient in customs clearance software and online customs portal.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC is also required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail, is expected.
