Job Opportunity

The National Measurement Institute (NMI) is seeking a skilled and collaborative Program Coordinator to join the Legal Metrology Branch.

The successful candidate will work under direction of Assistant Managers, Program Coordination and Monitoring, and Program Coordination and Engagement, to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to research and analyse compliance trends in associated Acts and Regulations.

  • Develop program proposals (including risk assessment and mitigation strategies) for endorsement by the Management Committee.
  • Develop project plans aimed at improving marketplace regulatory compliance using contemporary intervention strategies, including LMB inspection and audit activities.
  • Manage and support delivery of services under Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with other Commonwealth agencies.
  • Ongoing management, analysis and reporting on multiple LMB National Compliance Programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will be able to design, develop, operationalise, analyse and report outcomes for Compliance Programs.

The role requires a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise tact and demonstrate commitment to professional values including teamwork and continuous improvement.
