Team Leader, Hobart Clinical School

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality administrative services to the Hobart Clinical School. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of outcomes for years 3-5 of the Medicine Program.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team to deliver efficient and high-quality administrative services, ensuring effective target setting, performance management, coaching, and staff development.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships across the Hobart Clinical School, the wider Tasmanian School of Medicine, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Advise staff, students, and clinicians about relevant policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage key operational aspects of local program delivery including recruitment, budget monitoring, space, infrastructure, safety, and compliance to meet program outcomes.
  • Actively participate in working groups, forums, and other School of Medicine led activities that contribute to the successful deployment of the Medicine Program at a statewide level.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor and motivate others to work efficiently, effectively, and co-operatively.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to understand client needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to perform tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and under minimum supervision.
  • Competence in the use of a range of computer software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and email.
  • Ability to identify and implement improvements in work methods and the working environment.

Benefits:

  • A total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
