Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Risk Specialist to join our high-energy team. As a Technology and Security Auditor, you will conduct independent audits to enhance risk management, improve processes, and strengthen controls across cutting-edge technology and security systems. Your expertise in IT risk, control, and security will be invaluable as you identify and assess risks and controls, create innovative audit programs, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk & Control Mastery: Conduct thorough reviews of critical processes to identify and assess risks and controls in line with AU GA methodology. Develop and implement effective audit programs to address emerging risks and stay ahead of tech trends.
  • Ensure Compliance & Excellence: Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legislation, elevating standards in everything you review. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of recommendations.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and apply your expertise to enhance audits, delivering actionable insights that benefit the organization as a whole.
  • Impactful Reporting: Share findings with senior managers through clear, concise reports that highlight key issues, root causes, and practical solutions.
  • Problem Solving & Recommendations: Offer valuable recommendations to management, going beyond auditing to provide actionable advice that drives business outcomes.
  • Complete Projects on Time: Deliver high-quality audits within agreed timelines and budgets, demonstrating your commitment to efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage & Influence: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively to make audits a positive experience and add lasting value.

About You:

  • Prior experience in internal auditing, ideally 5-8 years, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating IT security risks.
  • Eligibility in professional accreditation bodies (e.g., ISACA, ISC2, IIA) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Tech-savviness and an appreciation of IT risks in a rapidly changing digital landscape, including data analytics and mining.
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing, and ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of financial principles and business concepts, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
  • Ability to work independently and within defined methodologies and timeframes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio, with TeamMate an advantage.
