We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Information Security and Risk Specialist to join our team at Australian Unity.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments and audits to ensure the security and integrity of our information systems and data. This includes identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and implementing effective controls to prevent cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our information systems and data.
- Develop and implement effective controls to mitigate identified risks and prevent cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including AU GA methodology.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on information security and risk management best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve overall organizational resilience.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in internal auditing or a related field.
- Professional accreditation in bodies such as ISACA, ISC2, or IIA.
- Strong technical knowledge of IT security and risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within defined methodologies and timeframes.
