About the Role

The Building Manager will take responsibility for day-to-day operations and upkeep of residential apartment buildings. This includes coordinating contractors, managing maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining excellent property standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee contractors and service providers to ensure high standards of building and grounds maintenance.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, security, and by-law requirements.
  • Manage routine inspections, coordinate repairs, and supervise essential services such as cleaning, gardening, and pool/spa maintenance.
  • Act promptly and effectively in emergency situations to ensure resident safety.
  • Communicate with residents to address concerns and support a harmonious living environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in building or facilities management, ideally within residential, social, or community housing.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, compliance, and safety standards.
  • Effective leadership and contractor management skills.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping abilities.
