A Senior Platform Engineer plays a key role in the development of payments infrastructure.
About the RoleThis Senior Platform Engineer will collaborate with the Engineering team to provide tooling and support for DevOps practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the engineering function through tooling, guidance and education.
- Join the on-call roster for our platform.
- Consider and improve the software ecosystem.
- Maintain, improve and design cost-effective and scalable PCI-compliant infrastructure.
- Mentor and support platform team members.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services and industry trends.
- Write and maintain internal tools, services and documentation.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in DevOps, Cloud or Platform engineering.
- Programming and Scripting skills - any language, familiarity with Go, Bash and Java preferred.
- The Cloud - strong cloud skills with any provider, AWS preferred.
- Communication - strong written and verbal skills.
- Empathy - a service mindset for internal stakeholders.
- A love of learning - commitment to learning and growth.
We are looking for someone with a background in Observability, SRE, Authentication and authorisation, Scaling serverless cloud systems, Linux, PKI.
