About the RoleThis full-time, permanent position will report to the Development Engineering & Planning Services Area Manager. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for recommending and determining Statutory Services related to civil engineering and urban planning approvals within designated areas.
- Functional Design assessment and management responsibility for Growth Area development and subdivision applications, including assessing and determining Permits Referrals, Engineering Design Reviews for wetlands, retarding basins, waterways, and pipelines, complex Stormwater Management Strategy review, Development Planning and Subdivision applications, Certifications, and Statements of Compliance.
- Risk management and continuous professional development.
- Active strategy and scheme assessment and management.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- Knowledge of hydraulic/hydrological and stormwater quality modeling.
- Previous extensive experience in decision-making in complex civil engineering and urban planning-related areas of work.
- Knowledge of Victorian Statutory Planning processes.
- Experience in Financial Management of infrastructure schemes preferred.
