Aerospace Maintenance Leadership Position

Are you a motivated and experienced professional looking for a challenging role as a Line Maintenance Supervisor with Rex? We have an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to lead our Melbourne engineering team.
Reporting:
This position reports directly to the General Manager Engineering or Delegate, ensuring seamless coordination and communication within the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with engineering procedures and certification requirements as outlined in the Maintenance Organisation Manual and Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain the necessary engineering infrastructure at the Melbourne base to meet R.P.T. timetable commitments.
- Provide general support to the broader RPT network operations and deliver general support to the REX group engineering team.
- Lead the Melbourne engineering team, participating in broader engineering leadership and providing proactive guidance and direction.
- Monitor and control costs associated with aircraft maintenance, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Verify the serviceability of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Manage and develop engineering staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Review planned maintenance activities in advance, coordinating resources and equipment to ensure timely completion.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and productivity enhancements to improve overall efficiency.
- Update and maintain regulatory and maintenance data held at the Melbourne base.
- Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment, managing a Preventative Maintenance/Service Program for GSE.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Proven self-starter with a flexible attitude and ability to manage a close-knit team.
- Able to work unsupervised, taking initiative and demonstrating a willingness to accept responsibility.
- Experience in airline operations and a demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high-workload environment.
