An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Line Maintenance Supervisor at Rex, based in Melbourne.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the General Manager Engineering (GME) or Delegate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining strict adherence to Engineering Procedures and Certification requirements as outlined in the Maintenance Organisation Manual and Civil Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensuring the upkeep of essential Engineering Infrastructure at the Melbourne maintenance base to meet R.P.T. timetable commitments.
  • Providing general support to RPT network operations and the broader REX group engineering department.
  • Fostering proactive leadership within the Melbourne engineering base and contributing to the overall engineering leadership team.
  • Monitoring and controlling costs associated with aircraft maintenance.
  • Ensuring the serviceability of Ground Support Equipment.
  • Effective management of Engineering Staff.
  • Reviewing and coordinating Planned Maintenance Activities in advance.
  • Coordinating manpower, equipment, tooling, data, and Aeronautical Products to ensure timely completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Implementing cost control measures and productivity enhancements.
  • Updating Regulatory and Maintenance Data held at the Base.
  • Ensuring the serviceability of tooling and equipment and managing a Preventative Maintenance/Service Program for Ground Support Equipment.
  • Performing other duties as outlined in the Rex Maintenance Organisation Exposition.

  • Proven ability to work independently with a flexible attitude.
  • Experience in managing close-knit teams while demonstrating self-motivation.
  • A willingness to accept responsibility and demonstrate accountability.
  • Background in Airline Operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.

Compensation Package:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, estimated to be around $100,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and location.
