Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care services to our clients, supporting them to achieve their goals and live independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to clients with disabilities, promoting their independence and autonomy.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Support clients to engage in recreational activities, socialize with others, and participate in community events.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and other support staff to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Monitor and report any changes in client behavior, health, or well-being to ensure timely interventions.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a support worker or care assistant role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Current police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance, and First Aid/CPR qualifications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or a related field.
- Experience working with clients with complex needs or behaviors of concern.
- Fluency in a second language, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
