Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to fill the role of Director of Parts Operations in our Townsville branch. In this position, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and managing all aspects of parts and service operations across an expansive territory in North Queensland.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining compliance with WHS, Environmental, and QA policies.
  • Promoting an inclusive and collaborative safety culture aligned to HCA safety beliefs and behaviors, with a focus on achieving an interdependent safety culture.
  • Managing department profit and loss, including achieving revenue, expense, and gross profit targets.
  • Monitoring department utilization and efficiency performance and managing processes and controls to achieve production targets.
  • Overseeing accuracy and timeliness of customer quote submission, follow-up, and invoicing.
  • Staff recruitment, career development, and performance evaluation.
  • Customer relationship management.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles.
  • The ability to engage with and positively enable a team of dedicated and talented staff to achieve business objectives.
  • A developed understanding of and experience managing operational after-sales parts and service support functions.
  • Well-developed negotiation and dispute resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues.
  • Developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple work fronts.
  • Ability to understand technical information and interpret technical data.
  • In-depth understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling methodology.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office suite).
