Job Description

The Safety Leadership Director will lead the strategic direction of occupational health and safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational goals and legislative requirements. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to enhancing safety performance, driving cultural transformation, and managing compliance frameworks.

  • Cultivate a safety-first culture aligned with organisational values.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
  • Manage Workers Compensation and Injury Management.
  • Oversee safety performance metrics, audits, and emergency response procedures.
  • Lead resource planning and manage safety budgets effectively.
About You

To be successful as our Safety Leadership Director, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Experience in a senior management role within agribusiness, logistics, or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety Act, Workers Compensation Act, and associated regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead cultural transformation and manage organisational change.
  • A Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence.
  • Qualifications in Risk Management would be an advantage.
