- We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead the Nursing team at our 24/7 AOD Rehabilitation Facility in Melbourne's outskirts.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and individual case management to residents, including nursing assessment and treatment.

The Role
The Registered Nurse is a key member of our Nursing team, responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Nursing team.
- Mentoring and developing a small team of Enrolled Nurses, enhancing their knowledge through peer consultation and training.
- Attending GP appointments with clients and ensuring they understand their health needs.
- Liaising with GPs, pre-admission and post-discharge, as well as other allied health professionals as required.
- Conducting nursing risk assessments, noting any pre-existing medical conditions and monitoring these conditions throughout the resident's stay.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience working within the alcohol and drug sector, mental health, or primary healthcare environment, with an understanding of AOD service navigation and complex needs.
- Experience in conducting drug and alcohol withdrawal and physical assessments.
- Knowledge of contemporary standards and evidence-based practice and interventions in AOD contexts.
- Excellent people management skills and proven ability to provide clinical supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and natural ability to communicate effectively to diverse groups.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
