VMCH Registered Nurse Position
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at VMCH Pakenham site in Shanagolden. As a VMCH Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with the care team, and providing supervision and direction to Endorsed Enrolled nurses and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs).

About the Role- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Provide supervision and direction to Endorsed Enrolled nurses and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), ensuring they are empowered to do as much as they can for themselves.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
- Be flexible and available to work across day, afternoon, and evening shifts during the week and on weekends.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant qualification and experience.
- Experience assessing Aged Care Residents and formulating Care Plans.
- Understanding and working knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and/or Territory legislation and nursing practices.
- An understanding of and ability to ensure compliance with residential Aged Care Standards, AN-ACC requirements, Occupational Health and Safety, food safety, and other professional legislative requirements.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
- Interpersonal skills, patience, common sense, and a strong ethos of client service.
- Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision and be self-motivated.
- Proficiency utilising information technology, with well-developed computer skills including MS Office.
