About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to lead our Nursing team at a 24/7 AOD Rehabilitation Facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of residents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care, as well as coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Nursing team. They will also mentor and develop a small team of Enrolled Nurses, enhancing their knowledge through peer consult and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the Nursing team, ensuring high-quality care and services are delivered to residents.
  • Mentor and develop Enrolled Nurses, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Attend General Practitioner appointments with clients, ensuring they understand their health needs.
  • Liaise with General Practitioners, allied health professionals, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct nursing risk assessments, monitoring pre-existing medical conditions and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive client documentation, ensuring compliance and capturing relevant details for analysis.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in the alcohol and drug sector, mental health, or primary healthcare environment.
  • Experience in conducting drug and alcohol withdrawal and physical assessments.
  • Knowledge of contemporary standards and evidence-based practice in AOD contexts.
  • Excellent people management skills, with proven ability to provide clinical supervision.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) within AHPRA.
  • Ideal qualifications include a Certificate IV in AOD or willingness to complete an AOD Skillset.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $85,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
