Job Title: Site Engineer

The Site Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction activities on site. This involves maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality work environment that meets the project's design specifications and regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position requiring the successful candidate to oversee daily site operations related to civil and mechanical construction activities.

  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and representatives to ensure effective communication and timely progress of works.
  • Track project milestones, review construction drawings, and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records including site diaries, quality assurance documents, and daily progress reports; assist with preparation of ITPs, RFIs, and NCRs as needed.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental protocols on site, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.

About You:

A tertiary qualification in engineering (civil or mechanical preferred) with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership being advantageous.

Experience in water infrastructure projects, including involvement in water or wastewater treatment plant construction or major utility infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of methodologies, including interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and applying relevant codes and standards.

Proficiency in site documentation and systems, familiarity with construction management tools, and experience preparing ITPs, SWMS, RFIs, and progress reports.
