Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Guidance Counsellor to support the holistic development and wellbeing of students. The successful candidate will play a vital role in facilitating proactive and preventative practices for student mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and mental health
  • Manage counselling services and provide psycho-educational assessments and report writing
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure implementation of quality processes and BCE protocols
  • Maintain high standards of practice and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Full registration as a Teacher with QCT plus completed Masters in school guidance and counselling; OR full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Successful experience as a Guidance Counsellor in an educational setting
  • Experience in developing activities to address academic and life career development of students
  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
