Cybersecurity Engineer for Autonomous Defense Systems

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Australia, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting next-generation software delivery toolchains that enable the continuous and secure delivery of capabilities orders of magnitude faster than the competition.

About the Role

This is a senior technical role that requires a deep understanding of modern software development, delivery, and sustainment toolchains. You will work closely with our engineering teams to architect, design, deliver, support and evolve toolchains required to deliver next-generation autonomous systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing modern ICT systems at the infrastructure layer, including providers and/or technologies such as AWS, Azure, and VMWare ESXi. You will also have experience with operating systems such as NixOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, and Microsoft Windows, as well as orchestration technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, implementation and support of next-generation software delivery toolchains.
  • Manage modern ICT systems at the infrastructure layer.
  • Manage modern ICT systems at the operating system layer.
  • Manage modern ICT systems at the orchestration layer.
  • Contribute to the management of ICT hardware systems in a limited capacity.

You will also be responsible for advocating for and implementing best-practice security measures within Anduril's software toolchain, working as a member of a multi-disciplinary software team, and mentoring junior team members effectively.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a senior role for the delivery of a software and/or hardware system with a mature software delivery, security and operations capability.
  • Experience with the design, implementation and operation of horizontally scaled cloud technologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is AU$150,000 - AU$200,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
