In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team developing unmanned systems for subsurface and other domains. You will leverage unsupervised autonomy to deliver long-endurance, multi-mission capabilities to customers. The Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) Program requires Senior Systems Engineers with broad experience to drive software-enabled hardware delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own technology solutions deployed to customers, focusing on end-user value delivery
  • Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as hardware selection and integration, testing and evaluation, robotic perception, engineering process, or cybersecurity
  • Empathize with end-users and drive solutions balancing their needs with external constraints and requirements in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Design, architect, and implement integrated systems, including advanced platforms and payloads, rapidly delivering capability beyond current systems
  • Contribute to component design and development across Anduril, aiming for reusable components across multiple product lines
  • Support vehicle and payload manufacturing, testing, and deployment
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end-users
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive professional experience working as an Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise
  • Ability to exercise high ownership over complex systems, including design, integration, test, and delivery of new capabilities
  • Capacity to work holistically on complex robotic systems across design, implementation, operation, and sustainment
  • Capacity to act as technical owner for a complex subsystem, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with robotic and/or autonomous system design, implementation, and support
  • Experience working within the defense, maritime, and/or aerospace domains
  • Experience within the product delivery lifecycle, including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
