Job Title: Support Worker

Job Description:

The Disability Support Worker role entails providing social support and transportation to clients, enabling them to participate in community activities, manage daily tasks, and monitor their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who require assistance, particularly those with epilepsy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Social support and transportation services, including community participation, social events, grocery shopping, and medical appointments
  • Light domestic and personal assistance for clients
  • Monitoring client well-being and reporting progress to relevant parties
  • Participating in staff meetings, attending training sessions as required, and maintaining open communication with colleagues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services (preferable)
  • Experience working with individuals who require assistance, particularly those with disabilities such as epilepsy (preferable)
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid
  • Current and satisfactory criminal record check
  • Willingness to obtain National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) worker screening clearance
  • Current Australian driver's license
  • Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (Comprehensive insurance preferred)
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work independently and collaboratively
