We are seeking a Casual Maintenance Assistant to support the smooth running of our aged care facility and independent living units. In this hands-on role, you'll help us create and maintain a comfortable, homelike environment where our residents can live with dignity, safety, and independence.

You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team that cares about both people and place—ensuring our buildings, gardens, and outdoor areas are well looked after.

What you'll be doing:
  • Carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks
  • Assisting with scheduled upkeep to keep our spaces safe and appealing
  • Maintaining external cleanliness of the facility and grounds
  • Responding to maintenance requests and assisting with repairs
  • Following safe work practices, PPE use, and manual handling procedures
  • Helping residents feel at home by maintaining a secure and welcoming environment

What we're looking for:
  • A hands-on, proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
  • Basic knowledge of building upkeep, gardening, or general handyman skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn) health and safety practices
  • Manual driver's license preferred
  • Current Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ideally you will have an up-to-date flu vaccination and at least 2 COVID vaccinations

Most importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing of older people.
