About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Youth Worker to join our team in North Brisbane.
Responsibilities:
- Build rapport and trust with young people, acting as a role model with residential house duties.
- Navigate through their personal challenges, providing both emotional & professional support in collaboration with the team of Youth Workers, Case Managers, and other relevant community services.
- Help engage in post-crisis support functions to better support young people with complex needs and behaviours.
Requirements:
- Hold a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or hold recognized qualifications).
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Hold and maintain a full Australian Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to openly engage and build trust with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Implement strategies and tactics to mentor and teach our youth necessary life skills.
- Maintain a level of grit and resilience to overcome challenges that are confronting.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working with vulnerable young people and a passion for making a real difference in their lives.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
