Boarding Supervisor Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to take on a vital role in supporting the development of students. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual who can supervise students, promote positive values and behaviors, and contribute to a dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide supportive supervision to students, adhering to departmental policies and ensuring their welfare.
  • Cultivate a culture of inclusivity, respect, and diversity among students, fostering academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues, parents, school staff, and other stakeholders involved in student development and wellbeing; participate in college events and promotion activities as required.
  • Work flexible hours, including night shifts, alone or with others, taking initiative, being adaptable, helpful, proactive, and approachable.
Key Requirements:
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa with relevant work rights for the appointment term.
  • Consent to a national criminal history check with the relevant authority.
  • Ongoing Working with Children Check (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to work according to rostered hours, which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Holding a current First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID009); First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) prior to first shift.
  • Within six months, obtaining and maintaining a current LR Class Driver's Licence, Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation, Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award, Surf Rescue Certificate, and Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42021).
