Lead Student Support Specialist

This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Student Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality pastoral care and support to students, while also acting as a key liaison between students and the School of Medicine.

About the Role

As a Lead Student Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to students on academic and personal matters. You will work closely with the National Head of Student Matters and other colleagues to ensure that students receive the best possible support.

  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, addressing their individual needs and concerns.
  • Act as a key liaison between students and the School of Medicine, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address areas for improvement in student support services.
Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality pastoral care and support to students.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Medical, Clinical Psychology or other health discipline degree.
  • Proven ability to manage complex personal and professional issues and provide high-quality pastoral care.
  • Experience in teaching at master's level or higher, or in medical, health or professional practice-based education settings.
  • Highly effective communication and negotiating skills.
  • High-level organisation and management skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and learning and teaching programs.
