Job Overview

The ASO6 Claims Manager is a key role within our organisation, requiring strong legislative and regulatory expertise to effectively manage injury management and return-to-work initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve claims and compensation-related issues through grievance and dispute resolution processes.
  • Represent the agency on legal and compensation matters, including negotiation and representation at tribunals and with claimants and their representatives.
  • Deliver prompt, efficient, cost-effective, and equitable claims and compensation services, including consultancy, claim determinations, monitoring, and approval of costs, as well as treatment and income maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain best practice approaches to claims and compensation, ensuring equity, diversity, and individual needs are considered, and reducing the impact of work-related injury on individuals and the organisation.
  • Review and prepare reports to identify opportunities for improvement, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Injury Management plans, programs, and strategies that support our strategic priorities.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of injury management legislation, regulations, standards, policies, and practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including employees, managers, medical professionals, and insurers.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with a proactive mindset and excellent attention to detail.
