Event Officer Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Officer to join our team at Events ACT. As an Event Officer, you will play a key role in bringing some of Canberra's most exciting events to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with project management tasks, including managing timelines, budgets, and reporting to the Assistant Director of Event Delivery.
  • Coordinate suppliers, manage volunteers, and ensure workplace health and safety standards are upheld.
  • Contribute to the preparation of operational plans, procurement processes, and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with various teams across Events ACT to maintain positive relationships and ensure effective communication.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in event or project management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional public holidays, weekends, or evenings during key event periods.
