Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will work closely with individuals with disability under the NDIS to deliver person-centred behaviour support. Your primary responsibility will be to develop evidence-informed positive behaviour support plans aligned with participants' goals and NDIS plans.

You will provide high-quality support in home and community settings such as schools and group homes. Your role will involve using functional assessment tools to conduct physical and interpersonal assessments in various environments. Additionally, you will support engagement, emotional regulation, challenging behaviours, and social skills through therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans
  • Provide person-centred support in home and community settings
  • Conduct functional assessments and analyse data
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to promote wellbeing and independence
Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must hold a tertiary-level education in a relevant discipline and possess a Core or Proficient registration with the NDIS Commission. A minimum of 6 months experience in positive behaviour support is highly desirable. You must also hold an Australian driver's licence, Working With Children's Check, and satisfy a police check.
