This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute significantly to the pre-procedure assessment and post-operative patient care in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

You will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the best course of treatment for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to inpatients and outpatients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the treatment process.
  • Serve as a supervisor and mentor to training registrars and junior medical staff, guiding them in providing exceptional patient care and supporting their professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical key performance indicators, driving quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Participate in after-hours rosters as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Competency in cardiology and cardiac catheterization, supported by recognized training and experience.
  • A strong background in cardiovascular research, with a demonstrated ability to design and conduct studies that drive innovation and improvement in patient care.
  • Familiarity with acute coronary intervention and participation in PCI programs, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Completed IELTS examination and eligibility for registration in Australia, with AHPRA Registration and evidence of vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis, hepatitis B, and COVID-19.
  • Tuberculosis screening and a declaration of any serious disciplinary history.
