Critical Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team as a Critical Care Nurse Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our service.
About the Role:
In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering safe, efficient, and effective evidenced-based nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will work collaboratively with medical professionals to ensure beneficial outcomes for all patients and facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Duties Include:
- Providing direct patient care and supervision to junior staff members
- Developing and implementing clinical protocols and guidelines
- Collaborating with medical professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Facilitating education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills in critical care nursing and cardiac catheterization

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Prior nursing experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Surgical Cardiac experience and a desire to learn
- Experience with angiography procedures
- Ability to establish professional relations with internal and external stakeholders
- An ability to communicate effectively to achieve results
- Commitment to enabling a culture of continuous improvement
- Ability to meet on-call requirements within short notice
