We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial accounting functions across multiple entities.
Your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive financial reporting, budget preparation, and management of our long-term financial plans. You will also have the opportunity to provide professional accounting advice and business services support to external not-for-profit organisations.
In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Tax & Treasury Accountant and the Treasury & Taxation unit to achieve our financial goals. You will be responsible for preparing statutory returns and managing treasury services, as well as assisting with internal reviews and delivering high-quality financial reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor of Commerce / Business or similar degree
- Studying towards, or eligibility and willingness to study, Certified Practising Accountant status (CPA Australia) or Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia)
- Experience working in a relevant finance field
- Understanding of relevant Accounting Standards
- Skill in accounting systems, computer concepts and programs
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word
- High level numerical, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated liaison, consultation and negotiation skills and an ability to work in a team environment
