Job Opportunity: Financial Expert

We are seeking a skilled and experienced financial professional to join our team as an Accountant. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial accounting functions across multiple entities.

You will work closely with our Senior Tax & Treasury Accountant and the Treasury & Taxation unit to deliver comprehensive financial reporting, budget preparation, and management of our long-term financial plans.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide professional accounting advice and business services support to external not-for-profit organisations, contributing to their success and sustainability.

  • Prepare statutory returns and manage treasury services
  • Assist with internal reviews and deliver high-quality financial reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce / Business or similar degree
  • Studying towards, or eligibility and willingness to study, Certified Practising Accountant status (CPA Australia) or Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia)
  • Experience working in a relevant finance field
  • Understanding of relevant Accounting Standards
  • Sound understanding of accounting systems, computer concepts and programs
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High level numerical, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated liaison, consultation and negotiation skills and ability to work in a team environment
