Job Description">

Our organisation seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Systems Accountant to support financial systems optimisation across our team. This role involves being the go-to expert for maintaining and enhancing financial systems, leading process improvements, and supporting systems integration projects.

You will work closely with our finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure our systems run smoothly, securely, and in compliance with relevant accounting standards. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing financial systems, reports, ETLs, configurations, and security.
  • Providing technical advice on accounting transactions and reconciliations.
  • Driving continuous improvement and system enhancements across the group.
  • Leading implementation of new features and upgrades in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
  • Delivering training and support to finance and operational users.
  • Managing workflows, chart of accounts, and system access.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and support internal/external audits.
  • Applying cyber security policies to identify and respond to potential threats.
  • Contributing to business transformation and system integration projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems administration and finance systems support.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and principles.
  • Experience working with various financial systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven experience with system upgrades and implementations.
  • Professional, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC and pass an AFP background check.
