Research Lead for Addictive Behaviours Clinical Trials

Monash University is seeking a Research Lead to oversee clinical trials in psilocybin treatment for addictive behaviours. As part of the Computational Neuroscience Laboratory and the Addiction and Impulsivity Research Group, you will contribute to the development and execution of phase 2 clinical trials.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of trial preparation and execution, including protocol development, psychotherapy coordination, database design, and participant engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with world-class neuroscientists in an inclusive research environment.
  • Explore innovative ideas with a team redefining addiction treatment through science.

This position requires a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline and significant experience in clinical trial coordination—ideally including psychedelic studies—and research in addiction. A strong track record of publications and competitive grant success, along with experience supervising staff and students, is also essential.
