What you might do in a typical day:

  • Lead and oversee high-quality patient care for clinical trial participants, ensuring safety and accurate administration of Investigational Products.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), trial protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, managing daily operations and resolving challenges efficiently.
  • Collaborate with sponsors, CROs, and monitors during trial start-up, site visits, and close-out activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and compliance, regularly evaluating processes and training needs.
  • Manage staffing and recruitment, ensuring adequate coverage and maintaining a low attrition rate.
  • Foster a positive participant experience, proactively addressing concerns and streamlining patient flow.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and guidelines to support consistent and high-standard nursing practices.
  • Promote team development and performance, conducting annual reviews and supporting professional growth.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, working with senior management to enhance trial throughput and operational efficiency.

What do we need from you?

  • Current registration with AHPRA (mandatory)
  • Work experience as a Registered Nurse in general settings
  • Work experience as a Clinical Trials Research Nurse for 3+ years
  • Work experience in leadership and Management ( For example ANUM or NUM[IM1]  roles) for 3+ years
  • Knowledge of the different Phases 1 to 4 in clinical trials
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
  • Applicable post graduate studies (optional)
