About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to join our Surveillance and Communications business unit based in Adelaide's defence precinct. As a key member of our hardware team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining hardware supporting mission critical defence radar systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new VHDL firmware for our radar systems
  • Maintain current product line and engineering support for hardware and firmware
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration
  • Produce detailed design and test documentation to meet contractual project requirements

About You

  • A university degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of the engineering development lifecycle
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in Intel FPGA VHDL firmware development cycles
  • 3+ years of experience with Modelsim/Questasim Advanced Simulator and TCL scripting

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
